My Intimate Poetry: Jaded Are My Wings.

Hello lovely readers, how has your week been? It has been a mammoth of week for me. I've barely had the chance to take a breath. But my week is yet to finish unfortunately! I hope you lovely lot are relaxed and curled up on the sofa with a glass of red! Enjoy tonight's poem!

Close your eyes and forgive yourself. Forgive those that have left you cold. And forget them.  ~ Tammy-Louise Wilkins.

Pain’s gut-wrenching impact will never lessen
It will sneak up unbeknown to you, don’t attempt guessing
Tears will fall, the depression sets in
And the time of heartache and loneliness will begin

Every word will draw blood, every drop fresh and raw
Watching a moment, a memory, a chapter of your life float out the door
The world as you know crumbles with an almighty thump
The two legs you stand upon break like fragile stumps

The tenderness and maternal part of the heart will shatter into many fragments
Irrevocably damaged by a person completely incapable of repent
Such deep betrayal and unbearable agony you'll at first feel
Although you will try ever so hard to conceal

Throbbing pain will fade away and rage will take over
Urging you to let the anger roast those guilty, like a slaughterer when sober
Resisting the temptation is hard but never give in
Don't be naïve Eve and indulge in vengeful sin

Though there is a shimmer of light far off in the distance
Each mile of sadness you take silently strengthens your weak existence
Things may appear as dark as night
But never forget the one you love standing beside you, your shining light
